Outbound: After an early start, we travel to Dover for an early afternoon crossing. We continue our journey in europe to our overnight hotel in time for a three-course dinner.
Following a good night’s rest, we head on through Germany and into Austria where we check into our hotel for the next six nights.
Overnight Hotel: Good standard hotel similar to Ibis and Novotel, all rooms will be equipped with en-suite facilities, TV, telephone. The hotel will have a lift or ground floor rooms.
Inbound: We depart our resort on day 8 and make our way back through Germany and France to our overnight hotel, dinner will be served on arrival. After a good night’s rest, we carry on back to the UK, arriving home late evening.
Innsbruck & Hall
Experience the Tyrolean capital of innsbruck, twice host city to the Winter Olympic Games.
Explore the highlights of this charming Alpine city, including the most famous landmark of all, the ‘Golden Roof’.
We will also visit Hall in Tirol, a medieval city close to Innsbruck, home to the original Imperial Mint.
The former capital of the salt mining industry, Hall has a lovely medieval town centre and the famous Burg Hasseg Castle.
Stranz, Lech & St. Anton
Our excursion today begins at stranz, the award-winning village boasts over 100 distillers.
This afternoon we take a scenic drive over the stunning Arlberg Pass and visit the pretty village of Lech and stylish st. Anton.
Swarovski Crystal & The Achensee Railway
Today we call at Wattens for a visit and tour of the world-famous swarovski Crystal World.
From here we continue onto Jenbach where we board the narrow-gauge railway to seespitz and head to Achensee.
Here we take a cruise on the largest and most beautiful of the Tirolean lakes.
Ziller Valley Steam & Mayrhofen
We travel to Fugen this morning and join the historic Ziller Valley Steam Train, a nostalgic journey through magnificent scenery to Mayrhofen whilst enjoying some live music and a glass of local schnapps enroute!
The Zillertal is one of Austria’s most famous narrow-gauge railways and has been in operation since 1902.
On arrival in Mayrhofen you will have some free time to enjoy the lively atmosphere of this famous resort.
The 3* Sonne Hotel
The Sonne Hotel is situated just 500 m from the centre of Landeck.
The hotel facilities include reception, restaurant, day bar, fully automated skittle alley, 2 alleys with cellar bar and sun terrace.
The hotel also boasts leisure facilities including a sauna area with Finnish sauna.
All rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, radio, cable TV and telephone.
