Company Directors

Glenn Smith

Having started working life as a chef Glenn progressed in the entertainment industry and having managed night clubs, ballrooms & bingo halls is very experienced in the service industry. In the early eighties Glenn changed direction & started working in the coach industry operating coaches for various Travel Companies throughout the UK & Europe (well before air conditioning became a must!). This experience gained over the past 30 years has been part of the winning combination here at Gardiners NMC.

Adrian Smith

Although brought up in the coach industry Adrian spent a number of years as a branch manager for well known High Street chains. Now with over 20 years experience in the industry, firstly with buying and developing Northumbria Mini Coaches in to one of the largest privately owned bus companies in the north east - before selling the company, and then starting NMC Tours now known as Gardiners NMC, the journey has been amazing and the experiences have been an essential part to the success of Gardiners NMC.

Office Manager - North East

Beverley Arkle

Beverley joined the company in 2015. Having worked as a Travel Agent for a number of years, Beverley's knowledge in the travel industry is second to none. As well as reservations Beverley also plays a very important role in the operational side of the business too.

Transport Manager

Dave Lewis

Dave started as a coach driver with Gardiners a number of years ago, he was then promoted to Transport Manager and now looks after the drivers on a daily basis, along with the allocation of our coaches and the all important drivers packs for both tours and day excursions for the north east departures.

General Manager - South

Melanie Cox

Melanie has worked in the travel industry for over 30 years, the last 14 of these as part of the Epsom Coaches team. Before this she worked for a company specialising in Greece and the Caribbean. With a keen eye for detail Melanie double checks all the details to ensure your holiday runs smoothly. As well as working for Gardiners NMC she is on the board of the Coach Tourism Association.

Product & Development Manager

Alistair Scott

Alistair started with Epsom Coaches in 1988 and transferred to Gardiners NMC in 2017. He arranges the tours, contracting hotels and devising the itineraries. Alistair has travelled to all parts of the UK and much of Europe, researching accommodation and itineraries. He also is responsible for brochure copy and production.

Reservations - North East

Joanne Austin

Joanne joined the company in 2015 and comes from a travel industry background having been an air hostess. Joanne looks after the main reservation line and with her great attention to detail you can be assured your booking is in safe hands.

Sharon Smith

Sharon joined the team in 2017, whilst new in the travel industry Sharon has a strong background in sales and customer care. Having spent a number of years in advertising in addition to reservations Sharon also looks after our advertsing and social media.

Anna Mallouppas

Anna has worked in the Travel Industry for over 20 years, the last 7 years for Epsom Coaches as well as doing Sales Anna was also a Cruise Consultant. Many of you may remember Anna from Epsom World Choice where she worked for 5 Years. At Gardiners NMC Anna's role involves selling holidays, day trips, group travel, day to day office duties and booking your ensuring your taxi is booked for you!

Leah Pearce

Leah has worked within the coach industry for over 20 years with Epsom Coaches in the coach hire department and then moved to the holiday and day trip department. At Gardiners Leah's role involves selling our holiday and day trips, day to day office duties and books all the attractions for the holiday's and day trips.

Accounts

Mary Sanderson

Mary joined NMC Tours in January 2009 having previously worked in accounting, and for Northumbria Coaches for a number of years prior to the company being sold. Mary’s wealth of experience and great attention to detail ensures that everyone has the numbers needed & that the company’s figures are up to date and accurate.

Mike Mackenzie

Mike has recently joined our team to oversee the accounts department following the retirement of our former Book Keeper Richard. Having worked for a major bank in a senior position for many years, and as a business consultant, Mike’s appointment will keep the company in good shape ready to go from strength to strength.

The Pets

Max Smith

Our friendly German Shephard Max is a loving household pet and he is only too happy to attend work every day........

Lola Smith

Our adorable Pug Lola is our second ultra-loving household pet, born in 2016 she too like her older brother Max is only too happy to attend work every day - however she prefers the warmth of the office unlike Max!
